The Brush-T “brush tee”
series was developed by South African Design
Engineer and golfer, Jason Crouse. His concept
was to replicate the feel of grass and reduce
the interference associated with hitting off a
wooden or plastic tee. The Brush-T exceeded
Crouse’s expectations. The synthetic bristles
do provide a natural strike, but more
importantly reduced resistance to improve
distance and reduced sidespin to increase
accuracy.

 |
The
Brush-T was thoroughly tested at an independent
testing facility in southern California and the findings
showed that the tee consistently outperformed wooden tees
for greater distance and reduced spin. The Brush-T was
found to impart 2% less deviation on the ball which leads
to straighter, more accurate drives. In addition, it
showed less resistance at impact and therefore added
between 3.2 and 7 yards to driving distance. These tests
were carried out using the Iron Byron swing tester to help
ensure greater consistency.

After
receiving official approval from the USGA and the R&A,
the company introduced the Brush-T to the South African
market and soon expanded to Europe and the United States.
The Brush-T is available in 4 different models to
accommodate clubs from fairway woods to oversize drivers.
Professional golfers on all Tours have discovered the
benefits of using Brush-T and have taken advantage of the
greater distance and accuracy it provides.
Brush-T is an international company with global
distribution.
